Preventing Burnout

We’ve all been there, “If I could just get through Wednesday then it’ll all be better.” But Wednesday never comes or when it does, you’re already inundated with Friday’s problems and are starting to get apathetic about the whole thing.

Gretchen (one of our founding members) is famous for “No Way May” followed by “Too Soon June” and Jenn (the other founder) has “No-Jenn-January.” (Gretchen came up with that one too.) There’s too much on our plates to add just one more darn thing.

Burnout is common in our circles. (If you don’t know, burnout is a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by excessive and prolonged stress. It occurs when you feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, and unable to meet constant demands. You’ve most likely felt it at one point in your life or another.)

But should it be as common as it is? How can you prevent it?

We’ll discuss this week with the help of Rebecca Reimers Cristol our go-to business coach. Rebecca will give us some help finding strategies that work for us to prevent burnout.
